An appraisal provides a detailed description of your jewelry item. It is comprised of your jewelry’s metal type and weight, craftsmanship, and overall quality. It gives a thorough description of any gemstone(s) contained in the piece, including the cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. It also includes a close-up photograph of your jewelry item.
An appraisal is important because it allows you to insure your jewelry for its replacement value. An appraisal guarantees that in the unfortunate event of loss, theft, or damage, your insurance company will replace your jewelry with an item of like kind and quality.

Product Availability and Pricing
Occasionally, the diamond you order on DiamondsRight may no longer be available at the time your order is received. Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we are able to post notification on the site. If this happens we will notify you personally to help you find a comparable item to fully satisfy your diamond needs. We at DiamondsRight want to insure that your shopping experience is a pleasant and professional one.
Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur, and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. If a product offered by DiamondsRight is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in its original condition. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Orders
Orders can be shipped to either the billing address of your credit card or to an alternate address of your choice. However, the alternate address needs to be established with your credit card company before your purchase can be shipped to that desired address. This can be done by calling your credit card company and asking that another address be added for a specific period of time. The alternate address can be used as long as you will be present to sign and receive the package. PO boxes will not be accepted.
Most orders are processed the same business day in which they are received. Orders placed after hours will be processed on the next business day. Certain diamonds may not be available for immediate shipment. In this case, a DiamondsRight Diamond Consultant or Specialist will contact you with notification of approximately when your diamond will be shipped. All shipments require a signature at the point of delivery. The signature must also match the name on the package for FedEx to release the shipment to you. This requirement is for your protection.
We're proud to offer free FedEx shipping on every order within the United States. After your item has been packaged it will be delivered free via one of these carriers, depending on order value and destination: FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx 2Day, or USPS Priority Mail. Again, the signature must match the name indicated on the package. These requirements are for your protection.
Shipments
We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, the shipment is always risk-free. For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all DiamondsRight orders.
Diamond Certificates
When you order an item from DiamondsRight, we will ship the accompanying grading report or certificate. These reports are detailed documents created by diamonds grading experts, making it very expensive to replace. Because of this proper, credit will NOT be given on any return until ALL the proper paperwork has been returned.
All sales are subject to a 30-day return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return your loose diamond in its original condition within 30 (thirty) days of receipt for a refund or an exchange. DiamondsRight will not issue exchanges or refunds after a purchase has been made for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed diamonds. Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund or exchange will be processed within a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear, or those that have been engraved, altered or damaged in any way, cannot be accepted for return. Additionally, returns without an authorization code, or packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused receipt. To return a diamond to
DiamondsRight follow these three simple steps:
- Your Return Authorization Code. Call 1-800-707-9041, and you will be given a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the bottom of the invoice.
- Package Your Return. Place all the original packaging in the box. You will not receive proper credit if all of the proper paperwork is not included in the return package. For security purposes, do not write DiamondsRight anywhere on the outside of the box; simply address it to "DR."
- Insure Your Package. On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is listed as:
- Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.
- More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment reached DiamondsRight.
- Special Orders. Special or custom orders are NOT returnable. When you place your order, you will be properly informed on your invoice if the item is a special order. For further assistance regarding this matter, please feel free to speak with one of our diamond specialists.
